The authorities of the Indian Intellectual Property Registry recieved suggestions of Stakeholders, Advocates and Trade Marks Attorneys at the last meeting in Bombai (08-21-2010) related to the division of actual Class 42. Intellectual Property in India will experiment changes in future Trademarks Registration Processes.
All trademarks in Class 42 will now be associated with Class 42, 43, 44 or 45, according to the new specifications introduced in July 2010 for all process related with Intellectual Property in India for Class 42. The new specifications should encourage actual registered trademarks and pending trademark process for class 42 to be reviewed as part of this class division. Depending on the characteristics of the involved trademarks, they should apply for the correct Class.

Thanks’s for your response. Great to know that India is up to date with these changes.
Yes, you are right. The new edition of the Nice Classification contains 45 classes and the previous edition only 42, so when adopting the new edition some services of class 42 were moved to the new classes.
Is this change in order with the new Niza Clasification (9th version)?
