The Intellectual Property Office of the United Kingdom has announced changes in their examination procedures. From now on, they will no longer refuse to register a new trade mark application because of an earlier trademark conflicting, unless the owner of the earlier mark successfully opposes the new application. WIPO intellectual property: launch of global on-line resource to facilitate access to IP information
On June 1, 2010 WIPO launched WIPO GOLD, a free on-line global WIPO intellectual property reference resource that provides quick and easy access to a broad collection of searchable intellectual property information and tools relating to, for example, technology, brands, designs, statistics, WIPO standards, IP classification systems and intellectual property laws and treaties.
Spanish Trademark Office is the next to have its national trademark database available for searching via TMView, the online consultation tool that provides access to international, Community trademark and Spain trademark database in a single search.
