ICM Registry (the firm behind .XXX), has announced two different registration phases before General Availability:
1. Sunrise (September 7th – October 28th)
There will be two concurrent tracks:
- Sunrise A for members of the Sponsored Community with either:
- Verifiable trademark rights (Trademark); and/or
- Owners of exact matching domains registered in other gTLD or ccTLD prior February 2010 (Grandfathering)
- Sunrise B for non-members of the Sponsored Community with verifiable trademark rights who wish to block their name in the .XXX sTLD
The minimum registration period will be 1 year and Marcaria.com fee will be as follow:
Sunrise A – Trademark: US$ 190 application fee* plus US$ 125 for registration fee.
Sunrise A – Grandfathering: US$ 170 application fee* plus US$ 125 for registration fee.
Sunrise B – One time Fee: US$ 387 application fee*.
*Application Fees are Non-refundable
2. Landrush (November 8th – November 25th)
Only interested party, members of the Sponsored Community, can apply for .XXX domains that were not previously registered or applied for during the Sunrise Processes. Its is NOT a first come first served arrangement; if there is more than one application for an identical domain, it will be registered following the outcome of an auction process.
The minimum registration period will be 1 year. Marcaria.com fee will be US$ 100 non-refundable application fee, plus US$ 125 for registration fee.
3) General Availability – December 6th
Available .XXX domains can be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. The minimum registration period will be 1 year. Marcaria.com fee will be US$ 125.
Notes
- Members of the Sponsored Community are verified on the ICM Registry website in order for domain(s) to resolve
- Multiple applications in Sunrise A and Landrush are resolved in closed auction
- Sunrise A has priority over Sunrise
- All gTLDs and ccTLDs qualify for Sunrise A (Grandfathering) participation
- All strings in Sunrise A (Grandfathering) must have been registered prior to February 201
- Timeline is subject to change
