New Service for .IE and New Domain Extension .COM.SY

Now any company may register .IE domains through Marcaria.com; you only need to register a business name in Ireland. The cost for registering a business in Ireland is US$ 200 and the process takes approximately 4 weeks. You may also file a Trademark in Ireland; we can help you with the process too.

In order to register a .COM.SY domain, owner must be a company (from any country). The client will need to provide a copy of incorporation certificate and a signed Power of Attorney legalized by the Syrian Embassy (we would provide template).

Internet Tops 192 Million Domain Name Registrations

The Domain Name Industry closed 2009 with more than 192 million domain name registrations across all of the Top Level Domain Names (TLDs), an increase of nearly 15 million domain name registrations since the end of 2008.

In terms of total registrations, .com continues to have the highest base followed by .cn (China), .de (Germany), .net, .uk (United Kingdom), .org, .info, .nl (Netherlands), .eu (European Union), and .ru (Russia).

Changes in .COM.CO and .CO domain registration policy

There have been some changes in .COM.CO and CO (Colombia) Domain registration policy:

.COM.CO – NO REQUIREMENTS

From February 7th, any person or company is able to register .COM.CO domain names. Previous domain requirements (local representation and trademark documentation) will no longer be applied.

.CO – LIBERALIZATION

Starting March 2010, the top level .CO extension will become available to current registrants of .COM.CO domain names.
