Individuals/Organizations that have the local presence within Korea are eligible for registering a KR domain name.
What is an Authorized Agency?
An authorized agency is the company or organization that you choose to register your domain name thorough.
Authorization to be an authorized agency is granted by the South Korea Registry after strict criteria are met. However, authorized agency will act on your behalf rather than the Registry’s behalf.

Once registered, all kinds of modification are managed by the Authorized Agency.
How do I update the name server information of my domain name?
If you need to update the name server information associated with your domain name registration, you should do this through your Authorized Agency.
It is the Authorized Agency’s responsibility to update your name server information via the Registry’s automated system.
Name server Information updated by your Authorized Agency will be reflected in .KR name server three times a day at 08:40, 12:40 and 18:40(KST).
Which characters are permitted under.KR?
2,350 new Hanguel characters have been added to the 37 that have been permitted earlier (a z, 0 9 and ).
The .KR should include at least one Hangeul character and the length of hangeul domain name should be more than 2 and less than 17 characters for technical reasons.
