On the last meeting held in Brussels this week, ICANN’s board voted to enter negotiations with a view to approving the controversial .XXX domains.
.XXX domains are expected to go live at the start of 2011.

According to the new CNNIC’s policy of .CN domain registration regulation issued on December 2009, any company from China can register Chinese domains. If you do not meet this requirement, we can proceed with the registration of your domain in the name of our representatives. Bangkok has joined the growing list of potential applicants for generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) when ICANN calls for applications with a proposal for .BKK.
The proposal follows the model of several other potential CityTLDs and offers to distribute a substantial portion of their profits to the community partner for Bangkok Citys benefit. They also propose to provide all city agencies and departments with free .BKK domain names, to implement policies to protect trademarks and ensure .BKK addresses are used responsibly.
