Bangkok has joined the growing list of potential applicants for generic Top Level Domains (gTLDs) when ICANN calls for applications with a proposal for .BKK.
The proposal follows the model of several other potential CityTLDs and offers to distribute a substantial portion of their profits to the community partner for Bangkok Citys benefit. They also propose to provide all city agencies and departments with free .BKK domain names, to implement policies to protect trademarks and ensure .BKK addresses are used responsibly.
